This record is an exploration of the rhythmic and melodic soundscape of tap dance, combined with elements of electronic music and jazz. Energized by improvisation, Melinda serves as the percussionist, dancing in socks, sand, sneakers, and even bare feet. Larry experiments through a wide range of analog synthesizers, augmented by his writing for strings and brass. Big Foot celebrates the deep connection between tap dance and instrumental jazz, while pushing the boundaries of sonic experimentation and contemporary production.
